This Standard specifies a determination of the biochemical oxygen demand of waters after 5 days (BOD5) by dilution and seeding method.
This Standard is applicable to determination of the biochemical oxygen demand of waters after 5 days (BOD5) for surface water, industrial sewage and domestic sewage.
The detection limit of this method is 0.5 mg/L. The lower limit of this method is 2 mg/L, the upper limit of non-dilution and seeding method is 6 mg/L and the upper limit of dilution and seeding method is 6 000 mg/L.
