This standard specifies the classification, code, dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and quality certificate of axles steel for railway locomotive and wagons.
This standard is applicable to quality carbon structural square steel and round steel (hereinafter referred to as steels) for manufacturing axles of railway locomotive and wagons.
