This standard specifies the technical requirements and testing method for charging/data ports, AC-DC power adapters and cables of mobile communication terminal equipment (hereinafter referred to as "terminals"), including the physical characteristics, electrical characteristics, safety characteristics, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental adaptability and identification involved.
This standard is applicable to terminals, AC-DC power adapters and their connecting cables using wired power supply, but not applicable to mobile terminals requiring special power supply and application, such as special mobile devices only used in enterprises and industries. This standard can also be referenced for the power supply or charging of other portable or household small electronic equipment.
