1.0.1 This specification is formulated with a view to guaranteeing the quality of steel structure, nonstandard equipment and pipe painting work, and minimize or prevent the loss arising from corrosion.
1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the painting work design, construction and acceptance for steel structure, nonstandard equipment and pipe (hereinafter referred to as "steel structure") of newly-built, extended and rebuilt works.
1.0.3 This specification is applicable to the painting method which utilizes the coating action of the paint to prevent steel structure corrosion.
1.0.4 This specification is applicable to the painting work with service temperature below 400℃, and the painting work with service temperature above 400℃ shall comply with the design requirements.
1.0.5 New painting technology and material shall be provided with test and trial use and may not be adopted until good effect is proved and the examination and approval by the relevant department is obtained.
1.0.6 The construction of painting work shall meet not only the requirements of this specification, but also those of the current relevant regulations and standards of the nation.
