This standard is applicable to M, N and O motor vehicles and their trailers.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

Type test of a vehicle
Type test to a certain vehicle type with regard to the number and mode of installation of external lighting and light-signalling devices.
3.2
Transverse plane
A vertical plane perpendicular to the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle.
