This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic construction, classification, code and model/specification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packing, transport and storage for fire intumescent seals.
This standard is applicable to fire intumescent seals having protection and sealing functions and used on building members and accessories such as fire resistive doorsets, fire windows, fire shutter assemblies, fire valves and fireproof glazing partition walls. It may also be referred to for fire intumescent seals used on vehicles, vessels and aircrafts.
